Novel Isolation and Identification Methods for Veillonella Species Involved in Halitosis

نویسندگان

چکیده

Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to develop a novel selective medium (OVSM) and useful identification method for oral Veillonella species, assess prevalence this species using medium, investigate whether monitoring levels is as clinical indicator diagnosis halitosis. Methods: To examine bacterial populations in cavity, multiplex PCR were developed isolating identifying species. OVSM consists tryptic soy agar, sheep blood, sodium lactate, vancomycin, oxacillin. Results: Oral grew well on OVSM. accounted 5.4% 27.2%, respectively, all bacteria tongue biofilm samples healthy halitosis subjects. produced larger amounts volatile sulfur compounds than other representative bacteria. Conclusion: These results indicate that these organisms

Different Methods for Isolation and Preliminary Identification of Azotobacter

Plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are known to influence plant growth by various director indirect mechanisms. Thirty–two strains were isolated from 15 soils sampled in central Iran, byusing and comparing three different methods. The screening of soil samples by means of soil paste–plate method combined with isolation on mannitol agar proved to be the best strategy in terms ofreliabil...

Identification of some fungal species involved in biodegradation of petroleum pollutants in Northwest of Iran

Black yeast fungi play critical role in degradation of petroleum polluted soils. Little attention has been paid to the biodiversity of black yeast fungi in Iran. In this paper, diversity of black yeast fungi was studied in petroleum polluted soils in Tabriz and Urmia regions. Soil samples were collected from petroleum polluted areas in vicinity of oil storage tanks in Tabriz and Urmia cities (E...
